The older crowd would explain the three of us (Denise, Anh and I) getting there 30 minutes before doors and there was not even a full line. The line up was IO Echo, Jaguar Love and headliners OK Go (according to ticketmaster).
First band: IO Echo

They're the type of band that people like me would listen to. Rock with a female vocalist and band members pastier than Gerard Way - dark mysterious zombie like stage performance. I kid you not. The vocalist had a hair cut and outfit that resembles Samara from The Grudge. (See image) The band is described as "Happy music for creepy people and creepy music for happy people" Get why they're my kind of band? ;) The vocalist did a fantastic job for someone who has tonsil problems. She did zombie-like motions for all the songs, which confused people but I know they all liked it. Band's myspace: http://www.myspace.com/jgvellum
Headliner: OK GoDenise and I have loved this band since the 7th grade . We found out about them via youtube (as did almost everyone else) When they hit the stage, everyone was so confused. Everyone thought Jaguar Love was going to go on next but then we saw Tim then Damian then Andy then Dan and everyone was like "Oh, okay then... WOOO" TBH, I don't like Jaguar Love, the rythem doesn't line up and it makes it hard for me to listen to them. Their set was equally divided for their new songs and their old songs. Half way through the show, Damian started talking and then stopped himself to say "Wow... you guys are so quiet, its like being in a class room" He wasn't exaggerating either, it seriously was that quiet. It was weird! They performed "What To Do" using handbells which was something new. Damian stated that someone told them they had horrible technique, and at the end of the song, he said "For your information, that was
perfect technique. Handbells are the instruments of God, bitch." (My video is cell phone quality and you can hear Denise and I talking and singing horribly so here's a video that OK Go provided on their website: INSTRUMENTS OF GOD) They had an excessive amount of confetti, like between every 3-4 songs the confetti canons would fire. (I came home and there was confetti in my clothes) OK Go's stage performance was eccentric. Damian's voice was angelic and his stage personality made him charming. Andy brought out his two necked guitar for a song.Outside at the merch booth, we met IO Echo and we bought their CD. We were the first to have them sign CDs haha. We're clever people. I blew all the money I had that night so if my life depended on money that night, I would be SOL (Shit out of luck) But thank goodness I didn't.
